Hamas announced that a delegation led by Khalil Al-Hayya arrived in Egypt to begin negotiations on mechanisms for a ceasefire, withdrawal, and prisoner exchange.
The Gaza Media Office said that the Israeli occupation continues its genocidal campaign despite calls to stop the bombardment. It added that Israeli forces have carried out more than 131 airstrikes on densely populated areas and shelters housing displaced people over the past two days.
Since Oct. 7, 2023, Israel has killed 67,074 and injured 169,430 people in Gaza the majority of whom are women and children, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reports.
