U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance rejected Israel’s proposed annexation of the West Bank as a “stupid political stunt,” reaffirming Washington’s opposition to unilateral actions and commitment to the Gaza ceasefire.

Palestinian factions gathered in Cairo to discuss the post-war future of Gaza, rejecting international control proposals and affirming that resistance weapons remain a national matter not open for negotiation.

Since Oct. 7, 2023, Israel has killed 68,234 people in Gaza and injured 170,373 others, the majority of whom are women and children, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reports.

Palestinian Child Killed in Nablus; US Officials Express Concern Israel is 'Out of Control'

Child Succumbs to Wounds in Nablus:

A Palestinian child in the Askar refugee camp in Nablus (West Bank) died from wounds sustained by Israeli forces’ gunfire.

Settlers Torch Vehicle:

Settlers set fire to a vehicle during an attack in the Al-Tel area of the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah.

Israeli Incursions and Arrests:

Israeli forces raided the town of Aqaba, north of Tubas.

An Israeli force arrested freed prisoner Malek Al-Jallad during a raid on his home in Tulkarem.

A young man was arrested during a raid on the village of Tel, west of Nablus.

Two young men were arrested during an incursion into the southern area of Hebron.

Settler Attacks:

Local sources reported that settlers attacked Palestinian homes in the village of Al-Tuba in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron.

Olive Harvest Under Attack:

The UNRWA Director in the West Bank highlighted that Palestinian olive trees are a target of Israeli actions, noting that settler violence, coupled with natural factors, has led to a 75% reduction in production this season compared to last.

Homes Demolished:

Palestinian sources reported that the Israeli army demolished residential homes in the eastern areas of Gaza City.

Shots Fired in Khan Yunis:

Shots were heard from Israeli army vehicles southeast of Khan Yunis.

Air Raid Sirens Mistake:

The Israeli army stated that the activation of air raid sirens in the Gaza envelope area was the result of an error in target identification.

Dire Conditions for Displaced:

An aid worker emphasized that the camps for the displaced suffer from severe shortages of water, food, and medicine, with most families relying entirely on the few daily aid deliveries. If aid does not arrive, residents go without food for the day.

US Warns Israel Against Undermining Deal:

Security officials told Haaretz that the Americans have made it acutely clear they “will not tolerate any Israeli surprises that could undermine the agreement,” and expect Israel to provide advance notification of any exceptional attacks, including air raids.

US Officials View Israel as ‘Out of Control’:

Politico, citing a source, reported that senior US officials informed an Arab ally that Israel is “out of control,” amid growing frustrations in Washington over the Israeli counter-offensive and the Knesset’s preliminary vote on annexing the West Bank.

Israel Prepares for Hostage Remains:

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that Israel is preparing to receive a batch of captive bodies later this week as part of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement.

US Public Supports Palestinian State:

A Reuters/Ipsos poll showed that 59% of Americans support the US recognizing a Palestinian state, with support at 80% among Democrats and 41% among Republicans.

Support for Investigation:

A Maariv poll found that 64% of Israelis support the formation of an official commission of inquiry into the events of October 7, 2023.
